The Norse Code Work Environment
The Bigfork Norse Code is filled with writers, designers, creators, and innovators. As a class, we create many memories under the leadership of our advisor, Charlie Appleby, who makes his main goal to support his editors and aide in forming great journalists. The Bigfork High journalism class created and participates in activities such as secret Fruitsa and an annual baseball game. Both are eagerly anticipated by all members of the class. Secret Fruitsa is the exchanging of fruit between journalists, and the activity results in smashed fruit on clothes and walls from the swing of a baseball bat in an effort to release the stress of the production of the previous paper. The annual baseball game takes place in the last journalism period of the year, splitting the class of journalists into two teams, The Norse Code then competes in the 'Charlie Appleby' version of baseball. Events such as these create memories that I cherish. The Norse Code has truly become a little family that I am so thankful to be a part of.
Fellow journalist Trey Christiaens and I edited and produced the video above about the opinions and experiences of Bigfork Norse Code members over the first semester in the BHS journalism class.

This year, The Bigfork Norse Code News Cast (NC squared) started filming monthly or weekly custom intros. While I fill the position of lead anchor, all other BHS journalists take turns filling the seat next to me in our news room. In filming these intros, I get to know the newer additions to the journalism class, and in the process, develop friendships and get in some good laughs.
