INTRO Ahna: If there are any students who are interested in attending Montana State University Northern’s open house on Saturday, March 30th, Schellinger Construction Company has graciously offered to sponsor a bus to transport students and parents from the Flathead Valley to Havre. The bus leaves at 7 am. Please come sign up with Mrs. Munson if you are interested. Evan: With St. Patrick's coming up this Sunday, Hanna Ritchie went in the kitchen to create a festive treat. In the Kitchen Ahna: We would like to send a huge congratulations to the Bigfork Viking basketball team for bring home their second consecutive State Championship, and to all spring sports, we anticipate great achievements in the seasons to come. Evan: Going along with the success of Viking basketball, let's take a look at some Viking basketball superlatives with Norse Code reporters Hailey Boisvert and Trey Christians. Superlatives Ahna: Once again to all the comedians out there, or just funny people in general, if you have any school appropriate videos that include humor, epic fails, etc. Please send them to Taylour Sellers at [email protected] for the chance to enter Bigfork Funniest Home Videos. The videos will be aired on Norse Code and the winner will receive a yet to be determined prize. Evan: The Quarter 3 Book Club will be meeting at lunch this Tuesday, March 19th, to discuss the book One of us is Lying with Mrs. Sherman. Ahna: The student art show is March 20th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, make sure to support your local artists. Evan: Mrs. Taylor would like to alert the following freshman that they will be having interviews for honors history on Monday, March 18th. Livi Taylor, Elliot Sanford, and Evelyn Knauth. Soraya Breivik and Lily Peterson will have their interviews Tuesday, March 19th. Ahna: Mrs. Munson would like to remind all seniors that the MUS and Horatio Alger scholarship are due today. The Hawkins scholarship is due this upcoming Monday. Also, do not forget to fill out and turn in local scholarship forms to Mrs. Munson. Evan: Now here's a look at some first hand coverage of the Bigfork basketball teams at the class B divisional and state tournaments from Norse Code Reporter Ahna Fox. State Recap Ahna: Students, check you emails and turn in girls powder puff and boys volleyball forms to Jordan Nelson as soon as possible. The deadline is Tuesday, March 19th. Evan: Also, you may notice that in this month’s paper, a blank bracket appeared. This month we are doing a different kind of March Madness: Disney vs. Pixar. The Norse Code will be surveying the student body via Twitter, so look out for upcoming Norse Code Twitter polls to vote on your favorite animated movies. Ahna: Finally, we have new breaking news about the water fountain upstairs. The epic moment when we went from 99,999 water bottles saved to 100,000 was caught on tape by Gabe Grende.
